Hands up if you find your clothes bursting out of the wardrobe?

Here we are looking at the end of February so no more excuses it’s time to kick start good habits. Let’s begin by breaking things down to make this job a little easier.
- When you buy something new move an item out to be passed onto goodwill (this makes me feel better as the item is going to someone else to enjoy)
- Make things visible (I’ve spent valuable time and money building my wardrobe, if I can’t see it I don’t wear it and it takes up valuable space)
- Only keep items you really need, look at what you have multiples of and narrow this down (do I really need those extra, just in case items)?
- Consider what really counts as sentimental (have I been holding onto this because I had fun at that party but have never worn it since)?
- Take items out for holiday wear and occasional, store them in a vacuum sealed bag
- Ask yourself tough questions like: How did I feel the last time I wore this? Is upkeep for this piece a pain? (i.e. do I have to iron this every time I wear it, does it easily show wear and tear, is it dry clean only? Is all of the hassle worth it?), Is this a representation of my ‘fantasy self’? or will I actually wear it?, Do I need to be a certain weight to wear this and feel good in it
- Is this item still in fashion and does it fit me right?
Now that we have a strategy, time to get into action and clear out those items!
Good luck and have fun with your new wardrobe.
Regards Michelle
